In the early hours of Monday, October 23rd, the 20-year-old Dutch cyclist Mark Groeneveld passed away, apparently of a heart attack, after having dropped out of a race in Hong Kong earlier in the day. In a statement on Facebook, his team X-Speed United writes: “While the circumstances of Mark’s passing are currently under investigation, we have received preliminary information that suggests it may have been due to a heart attack.”
Wonder when ever authorities will feel they have to pay attention and do some real investigations? Hopefully at least when all the filings in the US will be accepted. I also wonder what happened to poor Fuellmich, who got dragged from South America to prison in Germany, any news on that one?
